Which Speaker system to choose?

The Clio range of speakers are available in 3 basic options to suit your requirements.

Clio Classic (non Wi-Fi)

The Clio Classic is two passive speakers without the internal amplifier. If you have an existing HiFi system with a turntable and amplifier for example and simply want to upgrade your speakers this is the perfect option for you.

Clio Wireless (Bluetooth)

The active speaker (Left) contains the lossless Bluetooth aptX HD receiver and the amplifier (2×50 watts) for both speakers.  The two speakers are linked with the supplied speaker cable.

Music streamed to your smartphone (by Spotify, Deezer etc.)  is sent to the left speakers by the built-in Bluetooth transmitter.

Clio Multi-room (Wi-Fi enabled)

With this option, the left and right speaker are both Wi-Fi receivers and are therefore connected wirelessly. The 4Stream app on your phone will show both speakers. Just select one as Left and the other as Right. Simple!

All music of your home entertainment can be streamed wirelessly through the speakers. Controlled using your smartphone or tablet you can stream your favourite music via Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz.

You are also able to select ‘Line In’ for playing television sound, turntable etc.

Wi-Fi or Bluetooth?

Basically, Bluetooth only operates over short distances (up to 10m) and only for one stereo unit.

However, it is very easy to setup. Once you have selected the device on your phone or tablet it automatically logs in again when you turn it on.

Wi-Fi works much the same but over greater distances, with multiple units (up to 10 different zones or rooms).  There are also no cables between the speakers as it’s all linked by radio!

With the ‘Line In’ option selected you can also connect your television using it as a soundbar.
